About me
Welcome to my personal website!
I’m Ahmed, a dedicated General Practitioner based in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria, Australia. I have a strong passion for preventative medicine and personalised patient care.
With over six years of experience in general practice, I believe in empowering people to take control of their health through education and early intervention.
I earned my Bachelor of Medicine and General Surgery from Baghdad University in 2011. After travelling to Australia as a skilled migrant in 2017, I passed the Australian Medical Council (AMC) exams and completed my residency training at the Central Coast, NSW, between 2018 and 2019.
Early in my career, I developed a deep appreciation for primary healthcare—seeing it as the key to preventing hospital admissions in the first place. I firmly believe in the age-old adage: "Prevention is better than cure".
This is when I embarked in General Practice training, which culminated in achieving the fellowship degree (FRACGP) in 2025.
My goal is to help my patients live healthier, longer lives by providing evidence-based care and practical lifestyle guidance tailored to their individual needs.
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy exploring medical technology, cycling, and spending quality time with my family.
